Shvil Hameretz street is located in Southern Tel Aviv’s Kiriyat Hamelacha area (Hebrew for “the workers’ campus”), between the Shoken and Kibbutz Galuyot streets. The compound is near Salame road and the trendy, coming-up Florentine neighborhood.
The compound includes nine four-story buildings. Originally used for craft and industry, the compound today serves as a home for liberal arts professionals, and is also an appealing tourist attraction thanks to its street art, galleries and developing cultures. Currently, a center for photography and art, led by photographer Ziv Koren, is being set up.
